Pursuit of a Better Solution
I have always been concerned about mold and bacteria build-up in reusable straws.
One day, I thought to myself, what if there was an easier way to clean them, rather than having to use a cleaning brush.
What if they could be cleaned by splitting them completely in half and cleaning them as effortlessly as a spoon?
I began to seek advice on ways this could be done. There were many challenging, failed options, the biggest hurdle being coming up with ways to avoid air pockets during suction.
Then, working with a very respected mentor of mine, we successfully discovered that by sliding halves together along an inner groove, we could ensure a secure seal!
This was so exciting to me because this was not a product that just targeted a specific niche market, but rather many, such as, the concerned parent, the environmentalist, the kids and adults that like to have fun interchanging colors, the sport's team, schools and many more!
I thought to myself, most everyone uses straws! I was so thankful to God, that He led me to such a simple minded, but fantastic idea!

It wasn't until after everything was in motion to bring the straw to market, that I started coming across articles about disposable straws and the damaging effects they have on our environment. I also began discovering several strong movements against disposable one-time use straws!
The Last Straw®, US Patented, solves 2 very important problems! One, protection from mold and bacteria and two, helping save our environment!

Earth-Friendly Straws
The Last Straw®, US Patented, is a unique reusable straw made of ABS recyclable, BPA-free plastic, and made in the USA. It is unique because it is the only straw on the market that comes completely apart, for thorough and easy cleaning. This ensures the straw can be thoroughly cleaned, keeping it clear of mold, mildew, and bacteria. It is also top rack, dishwasher safe.

The straw comes in 4 colors; red, blue, yellow, and purple, for both 9 inch and 6 inch length reusable straws and 3 colors; red, blue, & yellow for 10" length Boba/Smoothie wide barrel reusable straws. Because the straws come apart, the different color halves are fully interchangeable, allowing the creation of a two-tone multi-color straw.
